DESCRIPTION:Each year\, our chapter partners with OREPA to observe International Peace Day by folding origami cranes\nknown as “Peace Cranes\,” in honor of Sadako Sasaki\,\nwho died after the bombing of Hiroshima during World War II.\nYou can watch a short 8-minute documentary on Youtube about Sadako here.\n\n  \n\nOREPA and CISV Smoky Mountain will be at\nUnion Avenue Books\n517 Union Avenue\, Knoxville\, TN 37902\nSaturday\, Sept 23\, 2023 from 10am-7pm\n  \nCome fold one or more Peace Cranes and stay as long as you like.\nDon’t forget to bring a chair!\nShirts will be given to those that fold 30 cranes\, while supplies last!\nContact Julie Jones with questions.
