SUMMARY:National Junior Board Meeting 2023
DESCRIPTION:National Junior Board Meeting will be in person this year and hosted by the Chattanooga chapter. It will be open to all JBers but activities will be geared to JBers holding leadership positions within their chapters. This will be an excellent opportunity for JBers to learn about the functions of the national and international JB and develop their skills as leaders. We strongly encourage all LJRs to attend the meeting if possible as important JB USA plenaries will take place. \nThroughout the weekend\, participants attend various informational sessions led and planned by CISVers of all ages. The aim for the weekend is to leave JBers more motivated and with more ideas on how to grow their chapters and enhance their JBs back at home. The informational sessions typically discuss topical issues within CISV such as merchandise guidelines\, leadership training\, and diversity in program choosing\, just to name a few. It is highly recommended for LJRs to attend NJBM. There is no minimum age requirement but sessions are designed for JBers ages 14+. \nThe Chattanooga chapter will be hosting NJBM 2023 from October 13-15\, at a campsite just outside of the city\, about a 20 minute drive from the airport. Early bird registration will run until August 15th at $180 per participant. After that\, registration will increase to $200. \nThis year\, we are including the option to add a donation to your ticket. The recommended donation is $20\, but donations of any size are welcome. This donation will go directly to a scholarship fund for JBers that would like to attend NJBM but do not have the funds to do so. We invite anyone who is interested in supporting the JB to consider donating through the registration link to help make this event more accessible for all JBers.
